Foxtail Palm

Fronds are a deep green with a silvery backside
Extremely tropical design and structure
Highly unique palm with large arching fronds
Loves the hot phoenix sun

Native to australia, the foxtail palm is growing in international notoriety, and for good reason. The large, banana-shaped swooping fronds of the foxtail palm are unlike any other species of palm tree you'll ever see. These unique "foxtail" fronds bring a highly tropical look anywhere they are planted, but have extra impact when planted around pools or water features, especially when lit at night.

Foxtail palms are also growing popularity because they establish and grow very quickly and adapt to poorer growing soils very well. Foxtails are highly resilient, and can be planted indoors or outdoors in full or partial sun. Adding these foxtail palms to your landscape will transform your yard into a south pacific paradise!

Rhapis Palm

Elegant and graceful tropical effect
Slow growing, multiple trunk style
Bamboo - like clustering trunk pattern
Also a great choice for large pots & containers

Rhapis Palms make fantastic tropical accents due to their bamboo-like appearance. In smaller yards, they can be grown as stand alone, miniature palms. In larger landscape designs, they can be used as accents when planted near larger palm varieties. Their full appearance makes them useful as an alternative to medium size bushes or even as tropical screen hedges.

Rhapis palms are an excellent choice for planting near patios or courtyards and can be container grown both outdoors or indoors. Rhapis palms are exceptionally beautiful near water features and if you have a koi pond, these are a must! These palms are easy to grow, require minimal pruning and are cold hardy.

Windmill Palm

Beautiful resort-style miniature fan palm
Very cold hardy palm for the area
Very wide variety of landscape applications
Great choice for large pots and containers

Windmill palms are commonly grown as single trunk palms. They can be planted in close proximity for an interesting multi trunk appearance. They're commonly used as a stand alone, focal point near patios and courtyards. They also make excellent accents to larger palms or near large landscape features.  Windmill palms are extremely easy to grow and require very minimal pruning.

Windmill Palms, along with Mediterranean Fan Palms are some of the most durable palms known. They absolutely thrive in intensely hot locations, require minimal water for a palm and survive our periods of freezing weather with little or no damage. Their unique, slender trunks add a natural, tropical feel to just about any landscape design!

Sabal Palm

Medium size, slower growing "palm"
Very cold hardy plus great in full sun
Adaptable to many landscape designs
Low maintenance and little pruning

Sabal palmettos, sometimes called Sabal palms or Cabbage palmettos can be used in a wide variety of landscape styles from tropical and sub tropical to Mediterranean styles. This palm initially appears as fronds growing directly from the ground, but after a few years, begins to develop a unique trunk pattern, formed from the old fronds that have been trimmed off.

Sabal palmettos are adaptable to many types of soil from brackish coastal soils to salty desert soils. They are very hardy to winter cold and are commonly grown in full sun from Texas to the hot deserts of the southwest. Because they are slower growing, they are easy to maintain, but this also means it takes some time for the tree to develop. Call our nurseries today for complete sizes available!

Pygmy Date Palm

Most popular selling dwarf palm for the region
Visually appealing in many landscape styles
Perfect around pools, patios & courtyards
Wonderful for large pots and containers

If you're looking to add a tropical accent to your landscape, definitely
Consider pygmy date palms in your design!

These soft, tropical palms feature many trunks of varying height or can be grown with just a single trunk. These dwarf palms are great in smaller yards or near pools and make excellent accents when planted near larger, upright palms. We custom grow our large pygmy date palms at our farms in the inland areas of southern california. The weather conditions, combined with widely spaced container growing and our special palm fertilizer, generates thicker trunks, fuller crowns, and more robust roots. Not only do these palms look better than the average pygmy date palm, they perform better, are able to thrive in hot, full sun planting locations and are more cold hardy than typical pygmy date palms.
